Illegal Immigrants                                                                           home

We have a responsibility to protect those who come here as their lives are threatened in their own country. At the same time we have a responsibility to protect our citizens from the "economic migrant", that is someone who is not in danger at home, who is not going to be a useful member of our society, and is likely to be a drain on resources, in other words, an unwelcome guest. The problem is knowing who is who.

Here is our solution:

We will negotiate with the governments of countries like Mali and Niger to allow us to build a compound there for the safe assessment of asylum seekers. This compound is to be considered an extension of the British Embassy there, and therefore temporary British sovereign territory. It will proved a safe and comfortable place where their claims can be assessed.

So when the immigrant arrives here and claims asylum, he is immediately transferred to our assessment centre in the Sahara. This will provide security for those whose lives are genuinely in danger, and will be a deterrent to the economic migrant. Mali/Niger will also be happy as we shall bring employment and trade to the area as this compound will have to be built, supplied with food and drinks, and be maintained.

Assessments must be made much quicker, probably within a month. There are many countries in the world from where asylum cannot be justified. These shall be immediately sent home. Where asylum is shown to be necessary, they shall be flown to Britain, given an ID card and a P45.
